Significant Changes in the Latest BSB Training Package Version 7.0

The Version 7.0 of the Business Services (BSB) Training Package affects a significant amount of business and management qualifications, including popular ones such as Leadership and Management Certificates and Diplomas.

Previously separate qualifications were streamlined and merged into a single one, which will then have specialisations. For example, the new BSB50120 Diploma Business now has nine (9) specialisations. There are number of new units of competency are also introduced in the latest release.

How does it affect my enrolment?

Here are some questions and answers on how the BSB Version 7.0 Update affects LET Training students and business courses:
The following courses LET Training had on offer are superseded but not equivalent to their newer versions:
  • BSB41015 Certificate IV in Human Resources
  • BSB40515 Certificate IV in Business Administration
  • BSB50215 Diploma of Business
  • BSB50415 Diploma of Business Administration
  • BSB50618 Diploma of Human Resource Management
  • BSB60915 Advanced Diploma of Management (Human Resources)
  • BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management
The follow two courses are superseded but equivalent to their newer versions:
  • BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management
  • BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management
Successfully completing these courses within the teach out period (by 19th April 2022) means you will still receive the Certificate or Diploma you are currently working on. The superseded versions will continue to be nationally recognised. There is no legislative requirement to date regarding upgrade to the latest qualifications.
Yes, your course remains active until the 19th of April 2022, but you must successfully complete it before the teach out period ends.
If your course enrolment term due date beyond the 19th of April 2022, you should be eligible for Credit Transfer for the equivalent units you have already completed. LET Training will upgrade your courses into the newer version and will identify and address gaps between the old and new qualifications.
If your course enrolment term due date is beyond the 19th of April 2022, LET Training will upgrade your course to the newer version for free. However, your enrolled term due date will remain the same. You will be provided with opportunity to apply for enrolment term extension, if so, application fees will apply.
You should be eligible for Credit Transfer for the equivalent units you have already completed. LET Training may offer the upgrade courses that will identify and address gaps between the old and new qualifications.
