Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)/Credit Transfer

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is an assessment process that involves assessment of an individual’s relevant prior learning (including formal, informal and non-formal learning) to determine the credit outcomes of an individual application for credit as  defined by the Australian Qualification Framework council.

For more information, please follow the prompts: https://web.archive.org/web/20220302200019/https://www.aqf.edu.au/sites/aqf/files/rpl-explanation.pdf

We would recommend you email us your training certifications, current job descriptions and resume through for review; we will then arrange a time to discuss your training needs and RPL opportunities with one of our assessors over the phone.

If an RPL opportunity is determined, we will develop a training plan to outline details of your training structure. Your trainer will guide you through this process.

Contact LET Training to arrange a Credit Transfer opportunity and complete the Credit Transfer application form with a certified copy of the related certificate achieved from previous accreditation.

Learning and Assessment

Once enrolled, you will be provided with access to all training and assessment materials from your online learning portal. You can download and print them out.

No, you don’t have to, and it’s completely up to you. The learning module we developed for your training program is mapped and validated for you to achieve the required learning outcome.

Many assessments include a simulated workplace environment to meet the unit of competency requirements.  To assist students who does not have the access to a workplace, we will provide you with a simulated business (Case Study) for your study on. Your trainer and assessor will assist you through workplace interaction activities via phone or skype participation.

You will need to complete your assessment from your online learning account and submit from online.

There are three attempts for each assessment, you will be notified if you reach the final attempt. We strongly recommend you check and review the assessment prior to submission and contact your nominated trainer for learning and assessment support.

We are extremely efficient on assessment marking. In general, your submitted assessment will be marked within 3-5 business days.

You may contact your assigned trainer or LET Training admin staff to seek assistance or clarifications. Learning support is provided to you via email, phone or online Skype sessions.

We offer a range of support services to help our students to achieve their training goals:

  • We arrange a course induction for new starters;
  • We assign a trainer to each student to provide learning support through the entire course term;
  • We provide learning support services via phone, email and Skype based on your needs.

Yes, you can. You can book a time to meet up your trainer at our office located at Parramatta NSW. Our office hours are between 9AM-5:30PM, Monday-Friday.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

From 1 January 2015, each student will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to obtain their Qualification or Statement of Attainment from their Registered Training Organisation, when studying Nationally Recognised Training in Australia.

It is quick and easy to create your own USI; the process should take 5-10 minutes. Visit the following website and follow the prompts: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi

Enrolment and Course Duration

No, you don’t have to. None of our courses require specific prerequisites; however, the course you select will be based on your educational background, your career plans and your personal preferences.

We would recommend you start with Cert IV if you are a recent school leaver.

 You can complete your enrolment via the LET Training website by clicking into the selected course and pressing “Enrol NOW” to proceed or complete an enrolment form (we will email it to you) and return via email for registration.

Upon receiving your enrolment application, we will create your online learning account.  This process is generally completed within 24 hours.  Once the process is complete, you should able to start your learning right away.

You will then have the full access to all required training and assessment materials from the online learning account.

From the date of registration, you will receive:

  • 3 months to complete a short course, or a one-unit course, such as a White Card course; or
  • 12 months to complete a Cert IV or Diploma full qualification course; or
  • 18 months to complete an Advanced Diploma full qualification; or
  • 24 months to complete a double qualification program.

Your access to the online learning account will be denied.  You will have the opportunity to apply for a course term extension. An administration fee will apply for any term of extension.

It’s your responsibility to manage your study within your enrolment term. Your enrolment duration dates are available on your online learning account. You will be notified via email every 6 months, and 20-40 days before the course term expires.

No, you don’t have to.  You can fast track your studies where you can.
