People listen to music to understand their lives or themselves better, relieve pain, reduce stress, and improve social skills. Many people will listen to music for motivational reasons like exercise, self-empowerment, and work purposes. Music is a fundamental element to us; music can be found in all cultures from the present day all the way through to more ancient generations.
Music & History Behind Music
Through history, music is very known to society and can be considered to be culturally universal. Music history has been around for a long time, we could assume that music began far before the year 1150. Possibly one of the most sort out musical bands of all time and most well-known would be the Beatles.
The Beatles are a British band composed of John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Paul McCartney. Some of the more popular songs are songs like – Here comes the sun, let it be and hey Jude. The Beatles individuality in their songs have helped so many young people find their identity, over the years and are largely recognized for their expression in their songs.
Music and Health benefits
Studies show that if you listen to music every day, music can benefit us in so many ways. More studies are needed to confirm the potential health benefits; however, studies do show that when you hear music that you like, the brain will release a chemical called dopamine. Dopamine is a messenger substance or neurotransmitter; it delivers alerts between neurons. The hormone Dopamine controls mental and emotional reactions and responses, it is known as the “Happy hormone” and is the hormone responsible for our happy experiences.
Music mentally helps you with: Mood Improvements, reducing your stress, decreasing any anxiety, improving exercise performance, improving memory, easing pain, and providing comfort.

Some people may not like to listen to music with singing or may not like to listen to music with singing. Others may want to listen to something with a descending melody or ascending melody and then there is also the idea of how motivational the music is.
